College Football 2009

The fall is absolutely my favorite season of the year. I love the return to a normal 'routine', the day that the first cold front blows in, college football, the food that comes with college football, cold mornings with hot coffee, the smell of pumpkin spice candles, and maybe even a reason to use the fireplace. So, while Brandon thinks that the first weekend of college football should be a national holiday, I love it because it's the introduction to the fall season and all things good! Plus, the fall gives us so many great reasons to hang out with friends and family. So, in honor of the first weekend of college football, we had some friends over to celebrate.

Can't say that the college football season started the way we hoped it would, but Matthew sure had a good time playing with his friends. And while daddy was yelling at the radio during the game (there might have even been a few tears!) , Matthew was enjoying some good treats that mom brought home....

I wish I had more pics of the kids. I took more pics, but they are all blurry because the kids wouldn't slow down long enough for me to take the picture!

But we have discovered one issue with football season...prior to Matthew being interested in TV, Brandon got to control what was watched on TV. But there was a seriously heated debate yesterday morning over what was going to be watched on the big TV.....ESPN College Game Day or Sesame Street. Seriously, my two male family members were in a 'stare-down' over the remote. And they say I'm the one who is high maintenance...
