Christmas and Remodeling

This will likely be the most sporadic post EVER, since so much has happened over the past month!

This was the first Christmas that Matthew actually got excited about presents, Santa, Jesus' birthday cake and Christmas morning breakfast. He loved it all! Kyle loved the tissue paper. Not sure why we bothered buying him gifts.

Spiderman meets Star Wars. That light saber is dangerous....but the boys love it.

Our neighborhood does luminaries on Christmas Eve night. The neighborhood looks awesome, but this year the wind was blowing so strong that they wouldn't stay lit! We don't have overhead lights in our neighborhood, so when you look down the street, all you see is the glowing lights from all the luminaries.

The boys are amazing. Matthew is sweet. Kyle is spirited. Who would have known how much fun could be had in a laundry basket. But my heart is happy when they play together. I'm not sure it gets much better than hearing them laugh together. Never mind the fact that the laughing typically ends in crying.....

Brandon had a ton of time off of work in December. I love having him home and so do the boys. It makes normal life so much more fun. But this December was anything but normal.....we started some home remodeling projects. Brandon and our friend/neighbor Fred took out our old wood windows:

Put in some new ones, added wood flooring and replaced the old baseboards with new, bigger ones. Those pictures will come later, since we still aren't finished!
