Kindergarten

To say that I had a hard time with Kindergarten is an understatement.  I thought I would be OK.  I thought I could power through.  I thought that logic, the need for formal education and my sweet boy's excitement over going would help me to put my emotions aside.  But that didn't work so well.  I hated it.  I missed him.  I STILL miss him.  But it has definitely gotten easier and I hope it continues to get better.  As I'm walking back home from the bus stop on the first day, Brandon was doing his best to cheer me up and Kyle says, "Don't cry mommy, I'll hold you today".  That boy is a charmer.  So here are the pics:

He just got moved to a new class today.  The classes were too big and they needed to create a new one.   I was told that they chose kids from the classes who were good rule following, easy-going kids.  I'm not sure if that is true, or a ploy to keep me from arguing as to why they chose my kid to move -- but I fell for it and he is in the new class. He loves it and his new teacher seems great!
