Seriously, Matthew ate a California roll for dinner last night. We went to a sushi resturant last night--because I can't get enough sushi these days and if I didn't know better, I'd think I was pregnant again...and Brandon's heart will stop beating when he reads that last sentence--and we decided to try ordering one of the 'all cooked' rolls for Matthew. I know he's always been a good eater, but geez! He had his little bowl of soy sauce (that he tried to add wasabi too, just like dad) and stole my chopsticks. He had one in each hand and would stab pieces and then dip in the soy sauce.
And Kyle slept from 8pm to 5am today!!! It's amazing to feel like a normal person again. We even got to watch a movie last night...that hasn't happened in forever. Kyle loves his bath, Jack and chewing on his hands. He is the most content baby I have ever seen....minus the whole not sleeping through the night thing. But even then, I think we just got spoiled by Matthew and Kyle's sleeping habits are more along the lines of "normal".
Brandon and Matthew are making a cake today for my birthday. Matthew is super excited about making a cake with daddy. He even knows how to sing Happy Birthday! He must have learned that from school. I tried to teach him for Brandon's birthday, but he would give me a blank stare. And he knows that candles belong on the top of the cake too...he keeps showing us how he will blow them out :) During dinner last night, Brandon and I were talking about how we feel like we are getting so old....I'm 31?! But as I told him....if you were to ask me 10 years ago what I wanted to be doing at 31 and what I wanted my life to look like, this would be it. I have an amazing husband, two healthy & perfect boys, Jack, and a nice home. I talk to my sister and best friend everyday. I work part time, from home, for my best friend's father....and her family has been like a second family for me for the past 12 years. So enough sentimental stuff...just had to acknowledge how truly blessed I am.
