Easter
Nothing says Easter like bad pictures of kids in coordinating outfits. I tried to get Brandon to wear a baby blue polo to match the boys. He emphatically declined.
Kyle thought that he needed to open each egg and consume the contents before hunting for more eggs. He quickly figured out that his brother was going to steal all the eggs if he continued with that technique.
We had to steal a couple of eggs from Matthew's basket to give Kyle a fightin' chance at picking up some eggs. Matthew felt robbed. Kyle felt victorious.

Spring 2010
This spring has been wonderful. One day it was a high of 40-something degrees and the next day was sunny and in the 70's. I don't think I ever truly appreciated spring until I had two energetic boys that could either (1) destroy my house or (2) play outside to get rid of little boy energy. We do everything outside....even eating. Which is a blessing since Kyle thinks he sould be able to use a fork just like everyone else.
Last week we went to the Ben & Jerry's 'free cone' day.

These boys love to eat and are regularly starting to eat bigger portions than I am. Kyle will finish his plate and then come sit on my lap and finish mine. I kept thinking that Matthew was 'seeing what I would offer' when he said he was hungry. So I started placing a plate full of carrots and celery on the table and telling them that was the only snack they would be getting. And guess what??? They ate it! I guess they really are hungry!
There is a St. Patrick's Day parade that goes down 1960 and right in front of our neighborhood. Matthew was so excited. The fire trucks are every almost-4 yr olds dream. Not to mention the candy and beads. Brandon, and our neighbor Fred, decided they were going to tailgate before the parade next year and give away homebrew. Leave it to our husbands to corrupt good family fun :)

But these pics aren't of health food.....and that's' why they are so excited. These were brownies!

Bevo
I never thought "Bevo" would be welcomed into our home. But, since his is so cute, we made an exception. Matthew is excited. Jack seems to think he's for dinner.
And let's all pray that I don't lose or harm this guinea pig. Because I'm not sure that Matthew (or the other 14 kids in his preschool class) could recover from the loss.

Independance Bowl
Brad, Rachel, Brandon and I left our children and went to the Aggie bowl game. Wow! You forget how easy life it without children! We had a great time....even if the highlight of the game was the tailgaiting.

Christmas and Remodeling
This will likely be the most sporadic post EVER, since so much has happened over the past month!
This was the first Christmas that Matthew actually got excited about presents, Santa, Jesus' birthday cake and Christmas morning breakfast. He loved it all! Kyle loved the tissue paper. Not sure why we bothered buying him gifts.
Spiderman meets Star Wars. That light saber is dangerous....but the boys love it.

Our neighborhood does luminaries on Christmas Eve night. The neighborhood looks awesome, but this year the wind was blowing so strong that they wouldn't stay lit! We don't have overhead lights in our neighborhood, so when you look down the street, all you see is the glowing lights from all the luminaries.

The boys are amazing. Matthew is sweet. Kyle is spirited. Who would have known how much fun could be had in a laundry basket. But my heart is happy when they play together. I'm not sure it gets much better than hearing them laugh together. Never mind the fact that the laughing typically ends in crying.....
Brandon had a ton of time off of work in December. I love having him home and so do the boys. It makes normal life so much more fun. But this December was anything but normal.....we started some home remodeling projects. Brandon and our friend/neighbor Fred took out our old wood windows:
Put in some new ones, added wood flooring and replaced the old baseboards with new, bigger ones. Those pictures will come later, since we still aren't finished!

Thanksgiving, Santa and Gavin
We were at home for Thanksgiving this year. The weather was great and the food was even better...since I cooked it :) Brandon was out raking leaves in the front yard and the boys wanted to help. Kyle started walking about two weeks ago and now he thinks he can join the 'big boys'.
This is what Brandon comes home to everyday. They love him.
Brad and Rachel made their first trip to Houston since Gavin was born. I got the boys matching Christmas pajamas (an idea I stole from Erin) and I can't wait to take a picture like this every year -- well, not exactly like this....maybe one day they will actually all look at the camera.
We took all the boys to see Santa. Kyle wasn't a fan. I felt bad making Santa hold a crying, screaming baby. But not bad enough to stop me from leaving him in his lap and takeing several pictures. Oh, and Matthew had a 103 fever by the time we got home, so Santa was probably also wondering why I decided to share our germs with him.
